You know that it’s not as easy as move more and eat less when your goal is to lose weight.

How do I know you know this……because if it was that easy then you would be doing it.

I’m here to tell you that it is that easy, however there is more to the equation than move more, eat less.

There are 2 additional things that needed to be added to that equation for results.

Do you want to know what they are?

Mindset and hormones.

Huh? What?

Let me explain. The human body works in a complex way. Sure, calories in vs calories out works for some people. All methods of weight loss will work for some people. However, what I have found works the best for weightloss that is long lasting, is a combination of move more (specific exercises), eat less (eat more of the nutritious foods), hormone balancing and mindset training.

Here’s a scenario, you have a few kilos to lose, you are running 3-4 times a week, doing crossfit 3-4 times a week, watching your calories…..you should be losing weight and feeling great, right? Wrong. You feel more fatigued than when you started, you’re digestive system is playing up, you are feeling down, your relationship is suffering and you are running slower and you have stopped improving on your workouts at the gym.

Move more, eat less, that’s all you need to do right?

This is a perfect example of why moving more and eating less doesn’t work. There are so many diets and so many workouts that you can google on the internet. Don’t get me wrong, many of these workouts and diets work. However, what they don’t tell you is that they don’t work together. You can’t do a low calorie restricted diet with crossfit and you can’t do a diet where you eat when you’re hungry if your hormones are out of wack and they tell you that you are hungry all the time. It just doesn’t work.

What does work? Finding the right fit for you. Correct exercise choice, complemented by the correct food choices whilst taking into consideration the importance of your mind and the effect the hormones have on your body.

How do you find out this information? A Personal Trainer can help with the exercise side, a nutritionist or naturopath can help with the food and hormone side and a health coach can help with mindset training. Pretty expensive prescription right?

The good news is I can help with all aspects. Movement, Nutrition, Hormones and Mindset.
