How is it diagnosed?

The gold standard for diagnosing Endometriosis is via a laparoscopy. Best done by an advanced trained laparoscopic excision specialist. They have done additional training. Clocking up hundreds of surgery hours with endometriosis patients. Generally gynaecologists and obgyn’s work also with delivering babies and oncology and don’t have the same number of surgery hours.

As mentioned in my previous post, surgery is only one component of managing endo. Read more here. 5 Things to have in place if you have Endometriosis.

What to do now?

If these symptoms resonate with you, reach out to your GP and get a referral to an advanced trained laparoscopic excision specialist.

Working with a naturopath, an endometriosis expert, can also help with managing inflammation, pain, hormones and endometriosis.
